Quick Assess — Inspect, Assess, Verify

Quick Assess API V2

Submit once, poll clearly, review separately.

The API processing lifecycle is separate from insurer workflow approval. completed means a draft assessment exists; it does not mean the claim was approved or finalized.

Method A: existing vehicle reference

{
  "external_client_reference": "CLAIM-2026-001",
  "currency": "UGX",
  "vehicle_reference": "VEH-ABC123XYZ789DEF456GHI789",
  "parts": [
    {"part_name": "Front Bumper", "quantity": 1, "claimed_amount": 450000}
  ]
}

Method B: inline vehicle details

Use the same assessment endpoint with a vehicle object instead of vehicle_reference. The two forms are mutually exclusive. The vehicle values still must resolve against the active catalogue.

Claimed amount semantics

claimed_amount is the total for the entire requested spare-part line, not a unit price. For quantity 2 and claimed_amount 600000, the exact unit amount is 300000. A total that cannot be divided exactly by quantity returns 422; the API never rounds silently.

Processing lifecycle

  • received
  • processing
  • pending_catalogue
  • completed - draft exists for insurer workflow processing
  • failed - investigate before resubmitting with a new key
